FEDERAL LEASE BUYOUT UPDATE: On August 6, 2026, developer RWE announced that it had reached a settlement with the U.S. Department of Interior to relinquish its previously held lease area, OCS-P 0561, for a payment of $121 million. As a result, RWE will no longer develop Canopy Offshore Wind in this lease area, and the lease area has been marked "Federal Buyout Area."
