FEDERAL ACTION: On September 22, 2025, a judge for the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia issued a temporary injunction pausing BOEM's stop-work order. Under the ruling, Revolution Wind may resume construction while a final ruling from the court is pending.
BOEM issued an order to Revolution Wind on August 22, 2025, requiring the developer to halt all construction activities. In response, developer Ørsted filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of the Interior asking for the order to be lifted. See the text of the stop-work order and the lawsuit below.
