PROJECT OVERVIEW
SouthCoast Wind
FEDERAL SCRUTINY: On November 4, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruled that BOEM may voluntarily remand its approval of SouthCoast Wind's Construction and Operations Plan (COP). This allows BOEM to review its approval of the COP and potentially issue a deny the project's approval in the future. View the court's decision request below and an article about the case below.
NOTE: SouthCoast Wind was selected to provide power to Massachusetts and Rhode Island in September 2024. The states and project have not finalized their power contracts, and the deadline to do so has been extended to June 30, 2025. We have marked SouthCoast Wind "Not Contracted," but we will change this once the contracts are finalized.
