UPDATE: On September 22, 2026, the California Attorney General filed a lawsuit against the Department of the Interior and the Department of Justice in U.S. District Court for Northern California. FEDERAL LEASE BUYOUT UPDATE: On June 17, 2026, leaseholder Invenergy signed an agreement with the Department of Interior to relinquish their previously held lease area, OSC-P 0565, in exchange for a payment of $112 million. As a result, Invenergy will no longer develop the Even Keel Wind project, and the lease area have been marked "Federal Buyout Area."
