FEDERAL LEASE BUYOUT UPDATE: On August 6, 2026, developer RWE announced that it had reached a settlement with the U.S. Department of the Interior to relinquish its previously held lease area, OCS-G 37334, for a payment of $4 million. As a result, RWE will no longer develop the RWE Offshore US Gulf projects in this lease area, and the lease area has been marked "Federal Buyout Area."
