NJ WEA Lease OCS-A 0498
NOTES: In 2023, Ørsted, ceased development of Ocean Wind 1 and 2, two projects located in lease areas 0498 and 0532, due to macroeconomic factors. Ørsted retains control over the lease areas, but does not currently have plans to develop them into projects.
In February 2024, BOEM approved a two-year lease suspension to Ocean Wind LLC for renewable energy lease number OCS-A 0498. For this reason, we have marked the lease area "Withdrawn." BOEM may order or grant a suspension of the operations term of a lease or grant. During a suspension, most activities in the lease area are restricted. We will revert the lease area's status to "Lease Area" once the suspension is lifted.
