FEDERAL LEASE BUYOUT UPDATE: On March 23, 2026, leaseholder TotalEnergies signed an agreement with the Department of Interior to relinquish its previously held lease area, OCS-A 0545, in exchange for a payment of $133 million. As a result, TotalEnergies will no longer develop offshore their Carolina Long Bay project, and the project has been marked "Cancelled."
