FEDERAL LEASE BUYOUT UPDATE: On August 6, 2026, developer RWE announced that it had reached a settlement with the U.S. Department of Interior to relinquish its three offshore wind lease area, OCS-A 0539, for a sum of $1.1 billion. As a result, RWE will no longer develop Community Offshore Wind in this lease area, and the lease area has been marked "Federal Lease Buyout."
