UPDATE: On August 28, the California Attorney General filed a lawsuit against the Department of the Interior, Department of Justice, and Golden State Wind asking the U.S. District Court for Northern California to declare the lease buyout as unlawful. FEDERAL LEASE BUYOUT UPDATE: On April 27, 2026, Golden State Wind signed an agreement with the Department of the Interior to relinquish their previously held lease area, OCS-P 0564 in exchange for a payment of $120 million. As a result, Golden State Wind has been marked "Cancelled." Scroll down to "Additional Project Information" to view the Settlement Agreement between Interior and Golden State Wind.
