On March 23, 2026, leaseholder TotalEnergies signed an agreement with the Department of Interior to relinquish its previously held lease areas, OCS-A 0538 and OCS-A 0545, in exchange for a payment of $928 million. As a result, TotalEnergies will no longer develop offshore wind projects in these two lease areas.
